01/01/2026 - first post. i've been thinking about music a lot lately. if you are a so-called "fan" of music (like ACTUAL music) and you care about the direction that music is headed in (which you should), you need to be following new artists, producers, musicians, songwriters, mixers, DJs, vocalists etc. you should be listening to every genre, new albums, new EPs, new singles, and new projects. stop suckling on the teat of your algorithm. don't just listen to the same old stuff in your library. if you want old stuff, go dig around in used vinyl. go dig around on youtube for tracks with zero views, support new and local artists on bandcamp, or listen to new uploads to soundcloud. there's so many groundbreaking sounds being concocted right now. also trans artists are putting out infinitely better music than anyone else right now.
